The PTA is a registered charity made up of a committee of parents and teachers who volunteer their time to organise or help at events. Every parent, carer and teacher is automatically a member of the PTA and are welcome to attend PTA meetings at any time. We are extremely fortunate at Upwood Primary School to have a high degree of involvement and commitment from our parents and carers.
PTA Chair – Mrs Holly Piaggesi
Vice Chair – Mrs Lisa Milner
Treasurer – Mrs Megan Workman
Secretaries – Mrs Emma Smith and Mrs Kate Woodward
The PTA is actively involved in a full programme of educational, social and fundraising activities, from which the school benefit greatly. The PTA raises funds for school, to provide vital extra resources for all the children.
Remember it is YOUR Association, and it can only continue to do all the great things it does if YOU join in – so please do!
Did you know that last year, we succeeded in raising enough funds to purchase 30 iPads!
All the children have access to iPads on a regular basis. We have had great feedback from the children and staff. We are currently working with the School Council to consider new initiatives, so any ideas are welcome!
Since September 2017 we have raised…
Disco – October 2017 £322.99
Spooky Tuck Shop – October 2017 £86.81
Pop & Popcorn – November 2017 £122.56
Christmas Fayre £2,070.43
Christmas Performance Refreshments & Collection £328.48
…making a grand total of £3,740.45 so far.
If you would like to get involved in any way or have a great fundraising idea, please get in touch.
